This is the image for the news article titled Clarification on Dress Code and Grooming GuidelinesHello Parents and Guardians,

We want to thank students, parents, guardians, staff, faculty, and administrators for an amazing first three days back to school. Months of planning on all fronts including in-person and remote platforms, are finally coming to realization. As with any new initiative, we will have our bumps and bruises, and together we will work through them.

Devine ISD designed and developed its plan of Standardized Dress through the support and interaction of our community. Our district administrative team always strives to make decisions based on consistency with existing policy and student success. At no time does our team ever intend to put an unnecessary hardship on any of our families. The initiative to include Friday Spirit T-Shirts as acceptable dress options for any day of the week will provide our families with additional flexibility and options during this challenging time. We have added clarifying revisions to the Devine ISD Standard Mode of Dress: Grades 3-12 and PreK-2 concerning ‘What constitutes a Spirit T-Shirt?’ Please refer to www.devineisd.org to access this document.

Thank you for your continued support. As we continue to coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, it is our goal to keep you, the families of Devine ISD, informed. We all find ourselves in a foreign environment this year. We will face new challenges at every turn, but rest assured that our team works tirelessly for the success of your student!

Thank you,

Dr. Todd Grandjean
