It is time for the annual proof of residency update for students entering 3rd, 6th, and 9th grade.
To be sure the student enrollment files meet board policy regulations, Devine ISD requires updated proof of residency for incoming 3rd, 6th, and 9th graders. Current proof of residency is required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to have on file for each student.
Updated proof of residency for 3rd, 6th, and 9th graders must be received and accepted for students to receive their schedule or teacher assignment during Meet the Teacher in August. Please send in your documents early as it may take several days to process the documents.
Acceptable documents include:
- Driver’s license/ identification
- Mortgage statement from the last 60 days
- Lease/rent agreement from the last 60 days
- Water, gas, or electric bill with service dates of May, June, or July
- Utility statements must include property address
We are unable to accept bank statements, cell phone, internet, cable, or insurance bills.
The address on the parent identification and utility or residency statement must match. Texas law requires citizens to update their license/identification within 30 days of moving to a new residence.
Updated documents may be submitted in-person at Devine Central Office; mailed to 605 W. Hondo, Devine Texas 78016; or emailed to
[email protected]. Be sure that you include your name and your child(ren)’s name and grade level for the 2024-2025 school year.
