Phillip is a retired veteran after serving 20 years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and currently the Security Bank Market President with a Banking & Financial Institution Degree from Sam Houston State University.  He is a true advocate of giving back to the community and currently is a DISD School Board Trustee, Treasurer for the Devine Lion's Club, and Director/Secretary for the Medina Healthcare Fund Board.  He has previously served as the President of the Devine Chamber of Commerce, Member of Devine ISD District Education and Improvement Committee, Commissioner/Treasurer of the Medina County Emergency Services District #2, Event Lead for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Medina County, and volunteer with the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

I am proud and honored to be a member of the Devine ISD Board of Trustees.  There are many challenges ahead for public education and it is imperative that we continue to focus on our students successes academically and in life with the values set forth by the forefathers of Devine ISD...Truth, Honor & Loyalty.
