The Devine Independent School District is soliciting sealed proposals for the lease of School District property located at the intersections of County Road 5710 and Highway 173 and County Road 2200. This is approximately a 54.5 acre parcel of land west of the High School Campus. Proposals will be received until publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Administration Office located at 605 W Hondo, Devine, Texas. Contact Shannon Ramirez, Director of Finance, at 830-851-0704 to receive additional information. A copy of the bid document may be picked up at the Administration Office.

Item Description

  1. Approximately 54.5 Acres for agriculture use.
  2. Land will be maintained and cut at all times.
  3. No livestock will be allowed on property.
  4. Property will be leased on the condition that the land is cleared to the District’s satisfaction within 6 months of the commencement of the Lease.

a. In exchange for clearing the land, Lessee will receive a discount on future Lease payments up to the fair market value of clearing the land, which the District estimates to be $3,000. Any applicable discount will not be transferable, and will apply only within the Term of the Lease.
